FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you are asking this question, that curiosity is already a good sign. Therapy is for anyone who wants to understand themselves better, work through challenges, or simply have a space where they can be fully honest. You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy.

What should I expect in a first session?

The first session is about connection. We will talk about what brought you here, what you are hoping to get from therapy, and whether we feel like a good fit. There is no pressure to share more than you are ready for.

How long does therapy take?

That depends entirely on you — your goals, your pace, and what you are working through. Some people find what they need in a few months. Others choose to work together longer. We will check in regularly to make sure therapy is serving you well.

Do you accept insurance?

Please contact me directly to discuss insurance and payment options. I am happy to provide documentation for out-of-network reimbursement if applicable.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes. I offer secure telehealth sessions for clients throughout New York State, in addition to in-person sessions at both office locations.

Is everything confidential?

Absolutely. Confidentiality is the foundation of the therapeutic relationship. What you share stays between us, with very few legal exceptions that I will explain at the start of our work together.
